Our Story
Hi, we’re Kristina and Kate — two friends who grew up on the same street but ended up living worlds apart.
Over the past eight years, we’ve lived in six different countries and visited more than thirty together — from Taiwan to South Africa, from Bali to Finland.
Along the way, we collected stories, friendships, and inspiration that shaped how we see the world and what travel truly means to us.
When we finally reunited in Brazil, what began as a visit quickly became something deeper.
We realized we didn’t just want to explore this country — we wanted to make it home.
Today, Kristina has been living in Brazil for almost a year, and Kate is soon joining her.
We chose Brazil not only as a destination to share, but as a place to root ourselves, to create, and to build something that connects people through its beauty and soul.
After years of crossing borders, changing homes, and chasing sunsets, we understood that what stays with us are not the places themselves, but the people and moments that make them come alive.
That realization is what gave life to Via Saudade — a project born from friendship, curiosity, and a dream to create meaningful journeys that connect people through the real Brazil.
